Group Financial Reporting Manager - London - up to £70k

This large, worldwide travel organisation with their UK head office in London are looking to recruit a Group Financial Reporting Manager into their Finance Team.

This is a key role within the business, whereby you will take full responsibility for the consolidated financial reporting of the Group on a monthly and annual basis. You will also be responsible for both management and statutory reporting and provide technical advice to the business on matters pertaining to IFRS. You will partner with the Senior Management team to present the results of the company's financial performance and provide commentary and analysis on business performance.

What you’re accountable for?

  • Provide in-house technical accounting advice on IFRS to management and the wider finance team.
  • Advise on the upcoming changes to accounting standards including annual update of the Group Accounting Policies manual and IFRS training for the wider finance team.
  • Management and development of the Group reporting team to produce the consolidated monthly management accounts, annual IFRS reporting packs, annual financial statements.
  • Oversight of the financial reporting systems, including management and development of the Group Finance Systems team to continually develop and improve the CODA general ledger and OCRA consolidation system.
  • Work closely with the Group Treasurer and internal systems development teams to facilitate accurate reporting and management of foreign exchange exposures.
  • Ownership of international corporate taxation arrangements, including  external tax advisor and revenue authority relationships.
  • Ownership of audit committee preparation, external audit relationship, coordination of annual audit process, preparing instructions, providing business performance,  consolidated information and analysis to our auditors.
  • Ownership of Internal Control System (ICS) including liaison with internal audit and supporting divisional and functional teams.
  • Act in a key support role for the Chief Financial Officer in projects as they arise.
  • Liaison with the parent company answering ad hoc queries.
  • Any other ad hoc duties relevant to the role.
  • Value adds to our business.

Qualification / Experience required:

  • ACA qualified accountant from practice background.
  • Strong IFRS and UKGAAP knowledge
  • Gravitas to work with senior finance leaders
