Head Housekeeper - Fixed Term

An opportunity has become available to join The Belfry Hotel and Resort, one of the UK's most prestigious hotel and golf Venues. After a beautiful refurbishment we now have 319 bedrooms, Rosette standard dining, five Food and Beverage Outlets, fantastic Leisure facilities including our Unique Fire and Ice experience, 11 treatment rooms, Pool and what we are famous for . Golf.

We are a unique venue that has hosted the Ryder Cup four times, we have three courses and a mini golf course set over 550 acres of land. Our business aims to be the number one Hotel and Resort in the UK.

We are currently looking for a Head Housekeeper to work in our fast and dynamic team.

The Ideal Candidate

You will come from a strong background in housekeeping, and understand the importance of making sure our service is shown in everything we do. Duties of the job Include but are not limited to.


Produce people plans for housekeeping department
Inspect the housekeeping areas on a daily basis to ensure facilities and equipment are clean, well maintained and replaced if necessary
To ensure that the daily operation of your department run efficiently to the standards expected.
To ensure that all employees in the department are adhering to specific responsibilities as designated by their job description and develop these individuals liaising with Human resources for training and development.
To develop communication within the department including regular meetings and written communication.
To ensure all guests feedback is followed up with appropriate action.
To foster and develop efficient employee relations throughout the hotel through the use of leadership skills and motivation to maximise employee productivity and satisfaction.
To ensure departmental inductions are carried out and documented.
Ensure disciplinary procedures are carried out in accordance with hotel practice
Delivery of plans/actions for the Housekeeping department including recruitment, retention, Training, appraisals, performance management, disciplinary and grievance, coaching, counselling and communication.
Produce guest satisfaction plans for the housekeeping department
Delivery of plans/actions for the housekeeping department in relation to service excellence
Produce budgets, forecasts and plans for the housekeeping department
Delivery of plans/actions for the housekeeping department in relation to cost control and efficiency
Produce a plan/schedule covering all areas of the housekeeping department.
To be aware of and adhere to all Health, Fire and Safety procedures and regulations, ensuring that all staff within the department are aware of their individual responsibilities and remain vigilant to possible risks and that anything of a suspicious nature is reported to management.
To attend all housekeeping team meetings.
You will be required to work weekends
