The Head of Hair and Beauty Training Academy and School of Catering is required to manage the delivery of the Vocational Areas, including the development of new courses, engagement with employers and the management of resources. You will also play a key role in driving continuous quality improvement within teaching, learning and assessment.

You will be responsible for leading, creating and sustaining an outstanding provision and the ethos for ensuring high quality learning takes place for learners through effective monitoring, evaluation and review of their progress as well as ensuring a process of on-going quality improvement.

The post holder will be key in ensuring the achievement of targets including: success rates, enrolment, retention, achievement, value added and high grades and to ensure the financial viability of the Curriculum Area. You will lead the area to ensure the development of an innovative and dynamic Curriculum offer.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring strategic priorities are implemented, including but not limited to:

  • Development of employability skills
  • Maths and English is embedded
  • High quality learning programme and student experience
  • Increase full cost and commercial income
  • Ensuring the curriculum reflects emerging technologies and has a clear route to employment.

    You will have the ability to lead, motivate and manage a team to achieve outstanding outcomes, setting a culture of high expectation and tackling under performance as necessary.

    You will have the ability to use MIS to interpret, monitor and improve course provision with a comprehensive knowledge of effective QA processes. You will be experienced curriculum planning, delivery and review and have experience in the use of a wide range of learning technologies. You will also have a comprehensive understanding of study programme requirements.
