Capita Travel & Events are seeking an experienced Manager to head up our Venue Find operations team.

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Operations Manager to manage the Venue Find function within our successful Venue Find team in Derby.

With an impressive portfolio of large and small customer accounts, you will manage a highly driven team of Venue Consultants and seek to add value by improving quality of service, development of staff and refining the service offering with continual improvements.

What you will do:

  • Manage location specific Meetings & Events business plan, location resourcing management and deliver formatted monthly reports to the Director of Operations Meetings and Events
  • To work in conjunction with account management to establish and maintain regular client liaison which should include service, savings, processes, policy compliance and scope of work
  • To enhance the customer experience through developing a competent and knowledgeable service deliver team, and ultimately exceeding agreed operational KPIs and SLAs
  • To ensure that customer complaint processes and procedures are adhered to and corrective action is taken
  • To seamlessly and effectively implement new business, ensuring service delivery is consistently delivered to a defined meetings and events proposition.
  • To establish and maintain an effective relationship with account management, supplier management, sales and the implementation team

Your experience will include:

  • Strong experience managing service delivery operations with demonstrable team management and development.
  • Clear understanding of margin analysis and customer event profit and loss accounts
  • Understanding of the balance required to deliver a consistently high quality operation and the levers that control cost.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with internal/external parties
  • Proven project management and change management skills
  • People management experience within a customer service environment managing multiple teams.
