Overview:

The role of the Head of Sales is to lead the sales culture and proactive sales activity at Redfern.  To achieve a personal annual new business trading target through the generation of new sales revenues into the business.

The role is field-based, but regular attendance at the Bradford Head Office will be required.  It is anticipated that a significant amount of time will be spent based in Bradford during the initial stages of the role.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

* Have a robust understanding of Redfern's market proposition

* Ownership of all new business development opportunities

* Management of the sales team

* Deliver results to a pre-agreed budget

* Ensure the creation of a productive pipeline of genuine sales opportunities through thorough research and effective lead generation

* Identify and understand the markets best suited to the Redfern proposition and develop and implement a strategy to exploit those markets

* Maximise opportunities from that market through effective selling techniques, team management and high conversion factor

* Passionately communicate Redfern's competitive advantage, converting this advantage to sales revenue

* Be an industry expert; keep up to date with travel industry news, market intelligence and competitor activity to aid effective selling techniques

Key Measures:

* Pro-actively search for new sales channels and opportunities

* Provide strong pro-active account management in order to deliver profitable growth

* Develop a robust and effective Sales, PR & Marketing Strategy

* Achievement of new business trading target

* Short and longer term pipeline opportunity delivery

* Develop, nurture and inspire a small sales team

* Industry leader; personal industry presence and recognition
