Head of Technology Lifecycle - Hampshire - £Competitive

Our client is global travel management agency that develops the latest travel technology services for their clients. They are looking for an experienced Head of Technology Lifecycle to lead a team that are responsible for a wide variety of procurement services relating to hardware and software in the UK and Europe. This role will play an integral part in implementing best practice in procurement techniques, developing and driving the procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities of the Head of Technology Lifecycle role:

  • Develop and maintain procurement policies and sourcing strategies to corporate standards, taking note and ensuring compliance with any relevant procurement legislation.
  • Effectively manage and communicate the lifecycle of all procured Hardware and software (including licensing), including ITAM and SAM.
  • Build strategic supplier partnerships, and introduce new suppliers to the business as required
  • Maximising the value of supplier relationships by holding regular review sessions
  • Monitoring and forecasting stock levels (where applicable)
  • Ability to engage and develop internal stakeholder relationships across technical and commercial functions
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with ability to gain internal stakeholder buy in and report / present up to senior management

Key competencies required for the Head of Technology Lifecycle role:

  • Experience in procurement and supplier management, with the ability to understand contractual terms
  • Knowledge of IT products, services, ITIL, ITAM and SAM.
  • Manage a team of individuals, but also where applicable work independently and be self- motivated.
  • Ability to co-ordinate and manage several deliverables at once.
  • Taking ownership of their deliverables and seeking for improvements where applicable.
  • Working as part of core team, good team interaction.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Candidate must have a good grasp of system trends and the strategy of the group in order to provide the most cost effective and efficient systems and maintain upgrade paths.
