Our client is a long established and successful independent Health Club, set in beautiful grounds in South West London. With a 2.5 million improvement project just completed, they are looking to recruit a dynamic and personable all-rounder to work in our Membership and Marketing team. The role will involve plenty of interaction with members and the community promoting the club as well as telephone and administration work. You will need to be a generous team player ready to turn your hand to whatever is needed as the club has a very wide range of services. Every day is different! They are looking for an excellent communicator who is outgoing and confident, ideally with strong computer skills able to learn and use our in-house systems. In particular, experience of a design software package would be an added bonus. Whilst experience of the leisure industry is not a pre-requisite, drive, flexibility and a commitment to providing excellent customer service are a must as we are passionate about improving the guest experience in every way possible. Our client is a 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year business so you should be prepared to work some weekends and evenings, along with the rest of the team, in this role. They are always looking for new ways to improve so please come with your ideas and feel part of a team that listens and works to make the club the highly regarded Health club that it is! Key Objectives Membership Provide positive and efficient customer service to new and existing members to enrich the member experience and journey. Pro-actively work to reach sales and retention targets. Marketing Ensure that all internal literature is produced within brand and is displayed correctly to maximise communication. Membership Sales Deal with incoming sales enquiries by phone, via the website and in person.Tour potential members, follow up your leads to maximise sales to achieve team targets and report accurately to the Sales Manager on sales activity you have completed.Visit competitor clubs as a mystery shopper and compile findingsHelp organise & run fitness days for Corporate ClientsWork with the Sales & Marketing Manager to create sales campaigns Membership Administration and Retention Process new membership applications, check against daily payment list that all have been processed correctly and the appropriate fees collected. Data input and record maintenance onto the Plus 2 database.Deal with and process member suspensions, upgrades, downgrades and cancellationsAssist in the renewal process administration and follow-up calls, collect fees and process paperwork to maximise renewal rates and hit set targets.Run reports using both Tableau and Gladstone systems to identify low users and target vulnerable groups likely to cancel. Marketing Manage internal displays, notice boards and visual displays.Upload current timetables and news items to the website.Monitor and order corporate printing supplies.Collate and reply to charity requestsAssist with the planning and execution of internal functions Please note this vacancy includes weekend, evening and bank holiday working.
