Homeworking Business Travel Consultant – Out of Hours

Our well established & highly reputable business travel client is currently looking to recruit a highly experienced business travel consultant to join their expanding 'out of hours' homeworking team, and handle all travel arrangements for clients on a portfolio of business travel accounts.

*Please note that successful homeworking business travel consultants are required to have a spare room in their property or a home office which they can use solely for work

The Role

As a 'homeworking' business travel consultant you will be required to book all travel arrangements for clients on a portfolio of business travel accounts, and make reservations for complex travel itineraries with International & domestic scheduled flights, hotel accomodation, car hire, transfers, rail & ferry travel. Working for a fast-paced & forward thinking travel company you will act as a first point of contact for all business travel queries, and handle any problems, issues or booking amendments in a professional & efficient manner. You will deal with all operational duties as required (to include airfares & ticketing), and have the ability to advise your clients on general practice, whilst adhering to a pre-agreed service level agreement.

Requirements

As a 'homeworking' business travel consultant you will have extensive experience working for a similar UK based business travel agency, and have proven experience tailor-making complex travel itineraries with scheduled flights and various ground products (to include hotels, car hire & rail travel). You will have previous experience managing your own accounts and all that entails, and be able to demonstrate the highest level of customer services at all times. You will be very PC literate, have great attention to details, and have the ability to work to tight deadlines on a daily basis. A good working on the Sabre booking system would also prove an advantage; however cross-training from another GDS such as Galileo or Amadeus is available. Previous experience working in a similar 'homeworking' role (especially working out of hours) is also desirable, but not essential.

Salary & Benefits

Excellent basic salary on offer to the right 'homeworking' business travel consultant along with a great bonus structure & company benefits package. Successful applicants will be set up with a full I.T system from home, and receive the full support of the Operations & Management teams in London.

Hours of work include working 3 nights on 3 nights off on a rolling rota, with shifts typically starting at 9pm or 10pm in the evening and finishing at 6am or 7am in the morning.
