The job in a nutshell Cambridge Orchard Park hotel is a 138 bedroom, Bar Caf site, right in the heart of the city's thriving commercial district. Just a mile from the Cambridge Business Park, and close to the majestic university buildings and popular attractions such as Sedwick Museum of Earth Sciences. Our on-site restaurant and bar serves breakfast and tasty evening meals. As a Hotel Manager your job is to make sure that our customers and colleagues are kept safe at all times. Our Hotel Managers ensure that our customers have such a great stay that they want to return. As a people leader you will ensure that your team is motivated, engaged and see Travelodge as a great place to work. What are the responsibilities of the Hotel Manager? - Delivering fantastic service so customers have a great stay and want to return - Delivering food and beverage services to brand standards - Ensuring the hotel is safe and secure putting the health and safety of colleagues and customers at the forefront of what you do - Retaining your team through engaging and motivating them - Recruiting and inducting team members to provide new starters with a great experience and setting them up for success - Training and developing your team to make sure that there are always talented individuals ready to fill key roles - Role modelling our values and behaviours, creating a positive, inclusive environment where information flow is two way and people feel respected and listened to - Managing all costs within budget - Maximising food and beverage sales (where applicable) by cross and up selling - Walking the customer journey twice a day, taking action to resolve issues What we'll expect from our Hotel Manager To succeed in this role, you will need to be a strong leader and passionate about customer service. Engaging and developing people to deliver results should come naturally and you will need to be dedicated, organised and results focussed to succeed in this role. You will need to have previous exposure to managing large teams in a complex, high volume environment. You will have natural gravitas and personal impact and able to manage senior stakeholders across the business You will need to demonstrate a hands on approach and be comfortable finding solutions to make sure your customer and team have a great experience in your hotel.
