Night Porter - Luxurious Hotel, Royal Tunbridge Wells Salary: 9.00 per hour Hours: 4 nights on, 4 nights off - 9 hour shifts from 10.30pm- 7.30am. Role Purpose:An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time and experienced Night Porter to join the friendly and professional hospitality team in brand new and luxurious hotel that is part of an evolving and award winning leisure group, based in Royal Tunbridge Wells.Working alongside a fellow Night Porter, the main purpose of this role is to support the Night Manager in providing a professional service across the hotel during the night shift. You will assist with all reception duties, attend to any guest needs efficiently and effectively, ensure all buildings are secure and locked at night and assist in the setting up of conference rooms for the next day. You will be working alongside another Night Porter.Key Responsibilities:To assist the Night Manager with reception during the evening hoursRespond and carry out any requests from guestsProvide overnight refreshments (bar and room service)Check in late arrivals and check out early departures in line with hotel proceduresTo answer any calls and to take effective messagesTo ensure all access hotel entrances are secure and perform any related security jobs as required overnightAssist with conference set upsEnsure all guest areas and offices are clean at all timesReport any faulty equipment to the relevant personsTo take part in scheduled training and to proactively take part in relevant hotel meetingsTo have extensive knowledge of all hotel facilitiesIdentifying and removing potential H&S hazardsBasic reception dutiesThis job description is not exhaustive and other duties and responsibilities of a similar level and nature may be required from time to time.
