Job Description An independently run hotel is looking for a responsible, fit and healthy, presentable, reliable, loyal, trustworthy, good character, self-motivated candidate with good customer service skills and basic computer skills who can work well in a team.To carry out all aspects of the 'Hotel Receptionist' duties at the Front Reception whilst on shift according to the latest 'Work Instruction.' This is an administrative and customer service role which includes all aspects of dealing with room bookings through the online booking system on the computer, via incoming telephone calls, emails, walk ins. Checking guests in and out, taking payments and dealing with all aspects of customer care. This will include at times showing guests a room and dealing with all guests' enquiries at the Front Reception.Answering the hotel main telephone throughout your shift - taking bookings, dealing with guest enquiries, and taking messages.To undertake initial training from your Receptionist colleague and ongoing training from The General Manager.To report directly to and to follow instruction from The General Manager.To liaise and communicate well with The General Manager and your Reception, Housekeeping Team, and Night Managers in a polite and courteous, respectful, calm and professional manner at all times.To portray a positive and professional image, offering great customer service that represents a very efficient, helpful, and happy and welcoming environment for our valued guests.Long term position for the right candidate.Hotel Reception experience preferable, but not essential as training will be provided.Uniform supplied after training and trial period.References may be required. Hours and Holidays 1. Approximately 38 hours a week, 5 days a week - Monday to Friday. Alternate weeks of 7am - 3.15pm and 3pm - 10.15pm shifts, including occasional weekends shifts to cover Weekend Receptionists holidays. 2.
