We are seeking a Hotel Services Manager, who will take responsibility for delivering results that contribute to the overall success of our three North West facilities in an enthusiastic, proactive action orientated manner and support in driving the team to go above and beyond for our patients. Job Description The Hotel Services Manager position requires a dynamic, outgoing and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about hospitality and is responsible for planning, organising, directing and coordinating management activities of the Hotel Services department. Duties & Responsibilities Driving a customer service strategyMotivating a large hotel services team to deliver service standardsNetworking with patients, doctors, visitors and staffThe manager must also pay attention to the details, setting the example for staff to deliver a standard of service and presentation that meets guests' needs and expectations.Planning, organising and directing all hotel services activities, including front-of-house (reception, concierge, portering), food and beverage operations, and housekeepingLiaising closely with the clinical teams to ensure a smooth guest journey through the hospitalWorking with the Operations Manager on coordination of refurbishment and building projects Skills And Experience Knowledge and understanding: A hospitality related degree or diploma, such as restaurant and hotel managementExperience in all hotel departments and in leading large teamsTaking direct responsibility for Heads of DepartmentsIdeally a F&B background and extensive hospitality experience in a minimum of a large 4* hotel is essential Problem solving ability: Deal with emergencies/unforeseen events as they occurStaffing and resourcing issuesDealing with customer complaints and commentsDeliver services within budgetsLiaise and negotiate with external contractors/suppliers to get best value Skills and effort: Management/leadership skillsCustomer care skills including dealing with VIP's and high profile guestsAbility to work under pressure and to make considered decisionsGood time management with the ability to prioritise and deliver to deadlinesExcellent organisational skillsEvidence of professional developmentAbility to think strategicallyFinancial acumenManaging budgets and financial plans as well as controlling expenditureEnsuring events and functions run smoothlyPlanning work schedules for individuals and teamsWork with project teams to develop the hospital services
