International Sales Consultant, Kent, up to £25k base plus comm

Our client is an  educational travel organisation that specialises in arranging placements worldwide . Having successfully established  offices in the UK, Australia and The Netherlands, we are now seeking an ambitious sales consultant  who will play a key role in expanding our market base. The successful person will spend a significant proportion of their time researching and evaluating the viability of new opportunities in emerging markets internationally. They will have full responsibility for generating inbound and outbound sales opportunities within these markets, working to agreed targets.

Whilst being fully supported by the Head Office sales and marketing teams, the success of this new role is reliant on the individual’s ability to work independently to a high output level.  Applicants must therefore be adaptable, display initiative, enthusiasm and drive, while maintaining professionalism at all times.

This is an exceptional opportunity for someone looking for a challenging and rewarding role in a fast paced, progressive environment.

Key responsibilities include: -

  • In-depth research into new target recruitment areas on an international scale
  • Presenting business development opportunities to senior management
  • Undertaking initial contact with all potential customers falling outside of the current established geographical market areas, providing the expected high levels of customer service. This includes responding to all incoming phone and email sales enquiries within set time frames
  • Working closely with sales and marketing teams to develop sales strategies in line with company objectives

Candidate requirements: -

  • Degree educated
  • Minimum 2 years’ sales experience, preferably in a service-led organisation
  • Excellent phone manner is essential
  • Accomplished presentation and negotiation skills
  • Enthusiastic, determined & flexible
  • Ability to work to multiple deadlines
  • European language skills would be an advantage, but not essential
