IT Helpdesk Support

Travel Futures are searching for a Helpdesk IT support analyst to join a leading luxury global travel company, based in central London, in the helpdesk support department and be responsible for assisting any IT support issues in a prompt and friendly manner. The role will be reporting to the IT support manager and providing assistance to all IT users from the IT helpdesk.

Who is the suitable IT Helpdesk Support analyst?

  • Recent experience of delivering excellent customer service in an IT helpdesk role is essential.
  • We are looking for someone who is customer friendly, pro-active and professional
  • Be able to work flexible shifts, including weekend cover
  • Strong knowledge of how to support Microsoft Office users
    • Strong understanding of Windows 2008/20012 Server Administration, Exchange Server administration, Active Directory, user account setup and administration, DHCP, WINS, IIS.
    • Basic network troubleshooting including TCP/IP utilities and configurations e.g. DOS troubleshooting commands and utilities.
    • Experience of supporting and administering databases running on the following database software
      • MS SQL server, Oracle and MS Access

What will the successful IT Helpdesk Support Analyst be doing?

  • Fielding incoming help requests from end users
  • Liaising with IT customers on reported faults to keep them updated on progress, fostering and maintaining effective working relationships at all times.
  • Record, track, and document the help desk request problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution.
  • Prioritise and schedule problems. Escalate problems when unable to resolve to senior support staff and/or third party suppliers. Perform post-resolution follow-ups to help requests.
  • Develop help sheets and frequently asked questions lists for end users.
