IT Manager - Business Travel - London - Salary Up To £45k

 

We are currently recruiting for an IT Manager to join a successful, well-established independent travel management company who continue to re-invest in their travel applications and IT infrastructure, and who are well positioned for further future growth.

The successful candidate would take the lead on ensuring the day-to-day IT is performing optimally by maintaining a good relationship with internal and external stakeholders. This is a hybrid role combining hands-on 1st - 2nd Line support and working with Managed Service providers to maintain the IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities of the IT Manager role include:

  • 1st/2nd Line support for Microsoft Windows 10 PCs and software
  • Work with managed service providers to support Network/security solutions/Azure/VOIP
  • Work with Security partner to maintain and improve Cybersecurity posture
  • Ensure hardware and software is maintained and secure in accordance with company policies
  • To provide technical support; answering support queries from staff
  • To take ownership of user problems and be proactive when dealing with user issues
  • Use IT support tools to update/patch, review and maintain IT estate
  • Support users in the use of Computer equipment by providing necessary training and advice
  • Mentor junior members of the team
  • To log all calls in the logging system and document resolutions
  • To co-ordinate managed service issues to the relevant IT partner and own the issue
  • Keep Director of Technology regularly informed of tasks/issues/performance
  • Escalate issues when required to managed service providers

Skills required for the IT Manager role include:

  • 3 years+ of 1st/2nd Line support, Supervisory/Management position
  • Ideally previously worked in the business travel industry
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems/software suite/Azure
  • Knowledge of Active Directory/Group Policy
  • Good knowledge Networking fundamentals and Security best practices
  • Good understanding of PC Hardware/software
  • Good verbal and written communications skills are essential
  • A good understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically, Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Confident, friendly and positive outlook.
