IT Support Administrator - London - Up To £25k

 

Our client is an award-winning Global Business Travel Agency with offices throughout the U.K. and the U.S. Due to sustained growth we are recruiting for a IT support administrator to manage, troubleshoot, support and provide remote cover to users.

Duties & Responsibilities of the IT Support Administrator role will include:

  • To proactively and effectively service user support inquiries across all offices, providing assistance to resolve problems, showing general guidance to users and ensuring that all IT support issues raised are attended to and documented as a daily process.
  • Installation, removal and replacement of hardware and software, including preparation and configuration.
  • The setup of necessary access requirements and logins as and when required.
  • Maintenance, installation, servicing and monitoring of all company systems; networks, telephone, mobile phones and associated machinery to ensure provision of functionality and stability.
  • Regularly monitor servers (Microsoft Windows 2008/2012 AD Maintenance, Exchange 2013 Maintenance, Citrix XenDesktop / XenApp 7.6 environment, SQL Server & other server maintenance).
  • Carry out Microsoft Windows7/8/10 Support and Troubleshooting
  • Provide support to telophony system (Avaya IP Office)

Knowledge & Skills Required for the IT Support Administrator role will include:

  • 1-2 Years of experience in an IT Support role
  • Proven knowledge and experience of general IT Support issues relative to the technologies mentioned above.
  • Exposure to virtualization technologies such as VMware is advantageous.
  • Experience or knowledge of the travel market or similar service industry is desirable.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and equally as a team member.
  • A positive and proactive attitude to clients, suppliers and colleagues, and the ability to communicate effectively.
  • A flexible approach to working hours is a necessity.
