Overview: Tylney Hall is a beautiful 4 red star hotel with a 5 star reputation! We need a confident hard working individual to work in our busy Oak Room Restaurant as a Junior Head Waiter/ress. The plentiful menus and wine list offered from our restaurant is second to none and our regular and new diners are always delighted with the delicacies on offer! A Junior Head Waiter/ress at Tylney Hall will need to assist the Restaurant Manager in delivering exceptionally high hospitality and service standards to every single guest - by themselves and by their team.
It is a 'hands on' role and the successful candidate needs to be commercially and financially aware and be able to influence the 'bottom line' figures. They will also need to communicate and plan effectively with all other departments on a two way basis ensuring that the service is seamless in the guests' eyes. Of course, we expect all of our supervisory staff to have an understanding of our legal responsibilities relating to; food hygiene, health and safety and fire regulations just to mention a few......and lastly, we would expect our Junior Head Waiter/ress to treat their staff in a way that will allow them to grow, be involved in the business, develop as an individual, and achieve their full potential.
Junior Head Waiter/ress Attributes/Experience: We need a person who is happy to work a flexible rota - this area of the hotel is open every day of the week for long hours. Often, due to the nature of the job, the successful candidate will work split shifts five days out of seven. A high command of English is crucial. Excellent customer service skills are needed as well as being extremely well presented. Experience in hotel 'Food and Beverage' work and having experience leading a team of at least 8 people is highly desirable.
Please note that we are based in a rural location in Hampshire based near Hook and Basingstoke so own transport is required. Live in available for the appropriate candidate
