Key Account Manager, Middlesex, Salary Up To £45,000 + Bonus

Prospects 4 Travel are currently recruiting for a Key Account Manager to join a renowned Ground Transportation Company that operates Nationwide and Internationally. Reporting Head of Business Development we are seeking candidates with the ability to manage and grow a portfolio of corporate accounts and identify and develop new business opportunities.

The Key Account Manager will have the following Account Management responsibilities:

  • First and main point of contact for the assigned portfolio
  • Deal with any issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure regular communication with the client through meetings, emails and telephone calls
  • Present and have input into customer presentations, proposals and customer MI
  • Communicate any issues with other parts of the business and work together to improve systems and practices
  • Increase efficiencies and reduce costs
  • Implement price increases when required
  • Increase customer portfolio

The Key Account Manager will have the following Business Development responsibilities:

  • Explore all parts of the customer’s business to look at maximising range of services
  • Identify and develop new opportunities within the portfolio and increase exposure through customer information, booker days, networking etc.
  • Prepare quotations and advise on pricing and ensure all reservation and quotation requests are handled correctly
  • Record all customer and prospect interaction thoroughly in Salesforce
  • Identify and develop opportunities outside of the portfolio
  • Explore all new leads thoroughly and report back to the Head of Business Development
  • Support the tender process
  • Attend trade shows and networking events as and when required
  • Report results and opportunities to the Head of Business Development and Key Account Manager via the reporting tools made available

The successful candidate will be required you demonstrate the following Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proven record of managing, developing and implementing corporate accounts
  • Well-presented and excellent spoken and written English
  • A confident self-starter with good interpersonal, communication and written skills
  • A passion for service excellence and the ability to work and remain calm under pressure
  • Good Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills and comfortable with new technology
  • Attention to detail

The following experience is desirable:

  • Presentation skills
  • An understanding of ground transport
  • An appreciation of business travel
  • Some experience of dealing with travel and/or procurement departments within large City institutions

The Key Account Manager would ideally suit an Account Manager or consultative Sales person who is experienced at managing corporate accounts and targeting, identifying and winning new business.
