Kitchen Porter London Salary starting from 7.20 per hour + tronc Immediate start! We are currently looking for a passionate Kitchen Porter available to start immediately. About us: At Daylesford, we've been farming organically for over 35 years, first in Staffordshire and then the Cotswolds. What began as a simple passion for real food has grown into Daylesford as we know it today. We are one of the most sustainable organic farms, and own some of the most sustainable restaurants, in the whole country. About the role: As a Kitchen Porter, you will be able to work alongside the kitchen team in maintaining a clean and safe work place across the kitchen and all the back of house areas. Ideally you'll have worked in similar food, restaurant or caf environments before or you'll simply have a passion for good food so that the basics come easily to you. Knowing quite a bit about us, our produce and our recipes is a must. The role will require bags of stamina and you'll enjoy the fast pace of working in our kitchens. Your natural confidence will enable you to give calm and clear instruction during busy periods. You'll be very organised and able to seamlessly coordinate your station. Having good written and spoken English is pretty important too. We all do our bit to create delicious and satisfying food. Learning and having fun while doing it is important to us. We love nothing more than exploring and discovering everything we can about organic food and flavours from our farm in the Cotswolds. As part of the team we'll share our knowledge and passion for food with you while giving you the chance to enjoy it at a generous discount. We are open 7 days a week and if you are on a closing shift you will be finishing no later than 10pm most of the times, however, being able to work flexibly is vital. You'll also have a unique opportunity to work with people who truly enjoy what they do as well as the prospect of learning interesting stuff about our farm, our ingredients, our produce, our culture and what makes us special. Responsibilities: To collect and wash pots, pans, plates and cutlery. To wash and disinfect kitchen appliances, work surfaces, floors and walls. To get pots, pans, plates and cutlery back into use as quick as possible. To make sure all the kitchen equipment is properly stored. To organise the storeroom.
