We are now looking to recruit to strengthen our kitchen brigade at The Goshawk to enhance our strong team, and help us be the best at what we do, serving 'excellence is a habit'.
The Goshawk Inn, originally known as the Station Hotel back in the day of the horse and cart, was once renowned for its late night dances and easy going manner. Now, blending premium elements of food, wine, beer and staff it has become a little gem in the heart of the English countryside.
Regardless of how many hours you work, our customers are in your hands. Our kitchen teams work hard and to ensure excellence is a habit, and this role is integral in supporting the kitchen brigade.
To ensure that you measure up to their high standards we require someone who can provide the following skills and attributes.
Have at least level 2/Basic Food hygiene qualification but we can provide this if you're the right person with the right attitude Have worked in a kitchen before Be flexible and the kind of person who jumps in to help out to ensure service is never compromised; Have the ability to cope with a busy kitchen Have excellent personal standards regarding timekeeping, attendance and personal presentation.
Rate of pay: 6.70 per hour / 7.20 per hour
Hours: part and full time (including some weekends and evenings)
Holidays: 5.6 weeks per year
50% discount on food at some of our sites upon completion of Hydes mandatory training
