Who are we looking for?
Home Grown Hotels is looking for an enthusiastic, and reliable Kitchen Porter for THE PIG - on the Beach to join the team at one of the most exciting and rapidly growing hotel and restaurant groups in the UK.
Experience in a similar environment is beneficial, but not essential as we can provide all the necessary training. All we are looking for is a willingness to learn, a strong work ethic - taking pride in a job well done.
Who are we?
First there was THE PIG, the award-winning New Forest restaurant with rooms, then swiftly on its trotters came THE PIG - in the wall, livening up Southampton. Now this most lauded of litters expands still further with the addition THE PIG - near Bath and THE PIG - on the beach which opened in early June 2014.
THE PIG - on the beach features a conservatory restaurant, walled kitchen garden, poly-tunnels, green houses, and fruit trees as well as our resident chickens, quails and sheep.
Our attention really is on the growing of fresh seasonal produce for use in our Restaurant. Working closely with our local suppliers & producers, along with the Chefs, the garden team play an integral role in catering for our guests in an environment where 80% of our dishes contain one or more items grown or produced on site.
We will endeavour to continue our '25 Mile Menu' that has been so successful in our New Forest property. Our menu is all about The Best of British - creating classics with a twist.
Where are we?
Just 9 miles from Poole (via the chain ferry) and 4 miles from the town of Swanage this property is in the perfect location to appreciate the stunning views and unspoiled beaches while still having access to those creature comforts..
