Due to continued expansion, our client is now recruiting Line Leaders for its modern site. Experience at supervisory level within a fast paced food environment is essential. You will be overseeing a multi-cultural work team of up to 30 machine operatives to help achieve maximum results.
Paperwork and conformance will be high on your priority list, along with making sure the operation is set and ready for the night shift.

- Efficiencies: Through the PIT process, escalate any unresolved issues affecting line/ team performance to the supervisor and carry out actions that have been agreed in order to correct any losses.
- Giveaways: Monitor product giveaways and ensure targets are met. Any issues affecting giveaways escalated to the supervisor.
- Waste: Monitor waste through the mass balance reports and support the investigation/actioning of any non-conforming processes/ products in order to reduce waste and ensure that Batch Yield is on target.
- Labour costs: Be aware of the labour manning levels of the designated production line/ team and support the supervisor/ Production Manager in efforts to improve this labour cost.
- DOT: Be aware of despatch requirements. Make sure the team leader is aware of unplanned events that will affect DOT.
- Customer Complaints: Deviations from quality should be actioned in order to minimise the risk of customer complaints.
- Audit Ready: Ensure production area is audit ready at all times.
CCPS: Ensure any issues regarding CCP’s are highlighted immediately to Supervisor / Shift Manager and QA team.
- Ensure all Omega information is logged correctly.
- Ensure all product/batch is cleared from the end of line prior to the start of the next product/batch.
- Escalation of any product quality issues to team leader with solutions.
- Have an understanding of product specifications and make sure specs are available.
- Operate machinery as required
- Support the team in the implementation and improvement of procedures and processes to ensure required standards of work are met
- Provide supporting evidence to Supervisor / Shift Manager for all team appraisals.
- Provide recommendations to training function for all line operators.
- Ensure effective lines of communications are in place between the.
- Production Line / Team under the Line Leaders supervision, and the supervisor / Production Manager.
- Daily personnel management including
- Monitoring of staff performance and escalation of any poor/ under performance.
- Positive motivation of reporting staff.
- Proactively engage the Team / Supervisor / Production Manager with ideas for personal development

- Supervising and coaching a team of at least 30 in a food environment.
- To be able to actively reduce costs through solutions.
- Display a high sense of urgency and speed of action.

- Ensure the culture of continuous improvement is maintained and developed throughout the factory
- Support the companys risk management strategy

- Be familiar with and confirm to the companys Health and Safety Programme
- Comply with all relevant Health and Safety legislation and observe all safety rules
- Do not endanger yourself or others by your actions or omissions
- Use appropriate protective clothing, safety equipment and safety devices at all times
- Report all accidents/injuries and near misses immediately
- Follow all instructions given by any person with a responsibility for health and safety
- Keep your place of work in a clean and tidy condition at all times
Report all hazards / non-conformances / substandard conditions as observed and make representations for improvements to the Engineering
