Local Marketing Manager 4 Travel - upto £32k - London

Our client is a large, reputable UK travel organisation who specialise in creating tailor-made holidays to a range of worldwide destinations. From round the world trips to city breaks, beach holidays to escorted tours, they can assist in booking hotels and flights to Australia, New York, USA, Bangkok, Canada, Sydney and other long haul holiday destinations from the UK.

The Local Marketing Manager will be responsible for the following;

• Continuous development and improvement of Local Store Marketing (LSM) programmes and detailed execution.
• Responsible for engaging with Branch Managers and direct communication of LSM programme content to all shops
• Coordinate all marketing activities with Branch Managers, ensuring sales objectives are met and effective spending of budgets
• Analyse success of LSM activities and amend/introduce new/improved programmes based on conclusions
• Attend all shop manager meetings and report on marketing progress
• Meet with the Head of Sales on a regular to review shop marketing plans and discuss requirements
• Input into the national marketing strategy

Essential Skills, Knowledge & Experience
• Experience in local/retail marketing with an understanding on tailoring marketing campaigns to local audiences
• Strong understanding of the customer lifecycle and how to influence customer behaviour
• Proven track record of planning and executing marketing campaigns with a clear view on KPIs and what success looks like
• Performance focused, eager to drive continuous test & learn across programs
• Excellent analytical skills with experience of and comfort with working in a data- driven environment


Behavioural Skills
• Hands-on self-starter with the combination of analytic and commercial skills to figure out what needs doing and then doing it
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills across functions within and beyond marketing
• Able to deliver under pressure
• Comfortable working in a fast changing environment
• Team player who can see how local marketing operates within a broader marketing strategy
