Luxury Travel Sales Consultant - London - upto £25k

Working as a Travel Consultant for this luxury tour operator you will take responsibility for clients experiences of this exceptional and marketing leading product, located centrally and offering Monday-Friday working hours this is an opportunity to join one of the industry leading companys

Key Responsibilities

  • To proactively ensure familiarity with all product developments in the portfolio
  • To routinely attend product training sessions, including participating on company sponsored familiarisation trips
  • Complete the relevant familiarisation pre and post trip paperwork, including the preparation and delivery of a presentation to your team
  • Ensure that itinerary proposals, with quote, are produced and delivered to the client within 24 hours - if this is not possible, then the client must be kept up to date with progress
  • To maintain an efficient, professional and friendly relationship with the client throughout the booking process. Maintain regular contact with clients (and travel agents) to keep them informed of progress and the status of booking, including updating on developments
  • Encourage the client to complete a post-travel questionnaire
  • Take responsibility for any post-travel problem solving in a professional, expedient and diplomatic manner, always looking to exceed expectations and deliver total client satisfaction.

Administration / operation procedures

  • Yield management information update on a regular basis
  • Maintain up-to-date and tidy quote files (hard copy) so that your colleagues are able work on these files in your (unexpected) absence
  • Take responsibility for all flight reservations via GDS (Galileo), creating and maintaining PNRs. Use knowledge of fares to ensure that the correct fare is filed and that ticketing deadlines are observed. Ensure that any amendments or cancellations are communicated in order to maintain accurate and up-to-date files and minimise financial loss

Required Experience

  • Well-travelled world-wide and have comprehensive knowledge of deluxe travel products
  • Minimum 2 years Retail / Tour operating
  • Must be numerate with attention to both top and bottom line
  • Must be able to converse with demanding and high spend clientele
  • Articulate, well organised and present the product to the highest of standards
  • Working knowledge of an Airline CRS (preferably Galileo)
