Key Responsibilites

To maintain the hotel's customer and heart of house areas in accordance with Radisson Blu Edwardian standards by performing preventative maintenance and repairs as necessary

  • Has knowledge of how to maintenance boilers
  • Is fully aware of health and safety procedures
  • Understand the requirements for effective water management
  • Has knowledge of how to maintenance various types of locks
  • Has knowledge Environmental EHO acknowledgment
  • Is able to perform electrical, plumbing, decoration and carpentry task
  • Excellent command of English language, ability to communicate effectively with guest and fellow colleagues
  • Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the company experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of, genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations
  • Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest service
  • Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest problems
  • Provides Yes I Can! genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis
  • Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction
  • Responds to both customer and hotel staff reports of non-functioning equipment immediately
  • Maintains problem log book to record the equipment/area in need of repair and prioritizes efforts accordingly
  • Maintains an up to date log of all paint, materials and wall coverings in use at the hotel
  • Reports any hazards or injuries in the department or hotel and takes immediate action to correct
  • Maintains rooms in operating condition by performing repairs as needed
  • Understands the Room Preventative Maintenance Program (R.P.M./Second effort)
  • Maintains overall appearance of rooms; repairs of wall/ceilings, painting and wallpapering
  • Performs preventative maintenance throughout the hotel
  • Maintains the condition of hotel lobbies and restaurants
  • Repairs decorations as necessary
  • Attends schools or training courses to remain current on proper techniques
  • Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing Yes I Can genuine hospitality and by exceeding guest expectations
  • Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest service
  • Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest problems
  • Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction Guarantee
  • Performs maintenance functions in rooms, public areas and back of house areas
  • Fulfils guest requests with emphasis on maintenance items
  • Assists and supports health and safety procedures at work
  • Assists pest management
  • Assist with lock management
  • Assists and supports team members
  • Performs other duties as required to provide Yes I Can genuine hospitality
