The Vertical Travel Group – Marketing Assistant

Location:Head Office, Basildon, Essex. Travel within the UK and limited overseas travel may be required. 
Full time: Monday – Friday. Flexibility with hours at peak trading times may be required.
Role overview:
This post requires you to support the team, to help maximise sales in line with the Marketing Strategy. 
Key Responsibilities 
• Managing and updating customer databases 
• Email marketing for various travel products and the sales team 
• Design using Photoshop or similar programmes 
• Distribution of customer enquiries to the sales team 
• Researching holiday offers 
• General assistance within the team - ordering, managing, distributing marketing materials 
• Attend group events and training workshops 
• Managing social media campaigns 
Personal Competencies 
• Flexible and open minded 
• Able to plan and organise self 
• Attention to detail, results driven 
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to work under pressure 
• Able to learn quickly 
• Team player

Person Specification
• Good Standard of Education  - Essential

• General Marketing experience and a mix of experience from Travel Retail, Cruise & Homeworking - Essential
Skills/Attributes

• Ability to display empathy and understand industry challenges
• Strong influencing skills
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Driven, enthusiastic, confident and self-motivated 
• Flexible and Adaptable 
Communication

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels, in a polite and professional manner
Additional

• Full Driving Licence
• Own vehicle 
• Proficient use of Microsoft applications
