Are you looking for the next step in your marketing career? We are seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working marketing & communications assistant to join a friendly and busy marketing team in this well-known travel company.
You will report to the Senior Marketing Manager and work alongside five other really friendly marketing professionals. This role focuses heavily on communications and campaign management, spanning both B2B and B2C. The support you will give the Senior Marketing Manager will include delivering the very busy comms schedule of emails, press releases and occasional direct marketing, assisting with delivering a wide range of B2B and B2C campaigns and taking a lead in managing our social media communications.

Preferred requirements and experience:
*Thrive in a busy environment, getting your head down when required but also not afraid to pipe up, challenge ideas and bring new ones to the table.
*Have a good understanding of general marketing principles with a more in-depth view on comms and engaging through social media.
*Be very organised and able to juggle multiple task where priorities can change at the drop of a hat.
*Have experience of using an email broadcast platform to create and send batch emails. An understanding of automation programmes would also be useful.
*Be able to analyse data to spot trends that can be used to improve campaigns and communications.
*Get social media and be prepared to try new things in this area aimed at improving engagement.
*Have an appetite to learn new skills and a desire to achieve and grow.
*Be a great team player and enjoy a bit of banter, after all there's no reason why work shouldn't be fun!
*Degree educated ideally with a relevant marketing qualification
*At least one year's previous marketing experience, ideally in a travel related role
*Having an understanding of both B2B and B2C marketing principles, and specifically email marketing, corporate comms and social media
*Using an ESP to deliver email campaigns
*Working within a multi-disciplined marketing team
*Building relationships with business partners/suppliers by phone/email/face to face
*Basic knowledge of design software such as Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
*Excellent written, copy writing and proof-reading skills
*An exceptional eye for detail
*Able to apply a test, learn, refine approach to work
*Able to work independently with a level of autonomy
*Naturally enthusiastic and committed
*An excellent planner and organiser who can deal with a bit of stress by prioritising work-loads and communicating with their manager
*Able to adapt and work flexibly
*Knowledge of CRM platforms to manage contacts and generate email communication lists
