Marketing Executive, Up to £35K, London

Our client is one of the UK’s largest independent travel agent groups. The leisure and business travel member partners who are part of the group are each independently owned. As a collective they produce over £3bn of travel sales each year. Our client are seeking an experienced Marketing Executive to join their established team. This is an initial six month fixed term contract with the potential to become permanent thereafter.

For the role of Marketing Executive, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns including email marketing, social media marketing, event marketing, print and website content management.

Duties and responsibilities of a Marketing Executive:

  • Email marketing
  • Business Travel Facebook Group
  • In-house design and production of printed collateral
  • Liaise with business partners to obtain content to deliver on their marketing activities
  • Be responsible for delivering in-house design using templates for both printed and online collateral in line with company brand and visual guidelines
  • Manage and deliver leisure travel/business travel emails and printed collateral as required
  • Manage the creation, production and fulfilment of printed collateral
  • Research member centric content and stories and post to the company Facebook page
  • Manage the business partner banner advertising calendar
  • Upload and maintain marketing campaign content into the company member extranet
  • Manage and deliver marketing activities for Conferences to include emails, printed collateral and social media engagement
  • Maintain effective working relationships with external suppliers including marketing agency and printers
  • Manage campaign costs within budget including raising POs and monitoring invoices
  • Monitor campaign results and report on a monthly basis
  • Attend industry events as required


The skills required of the Marketing Executive are as follows:

  • Successfully delivering against high targets in a similar environment
  • Building relationships with business partners/suppliers by phone/email/face to face
  • Using an ESP to deliver email campaigns (Dotmailer)
  • Using website content management systems
  • Using InDesign and/or Photoshop
  • Managing the production of printed collateral
  • Able to comfortably liaise with business members and internal departments
  • Working with the leisure/business travel sector…and happy with doing your own support work and administration

  • Degree educated
  • Excellent at written communications, copy writing and proof reading
  • An excellent collaborative team player
  • Passionate for developing creative and effective marketing campaigns
  • Able to apply a test, learn, refine approach to work
  • Able to target certain audiences and personalise content within email marketing
  • Comfortable at verbal and presentation skills
  • Able to work independently with a level of autonomy
  • Naturally enthusiastic and committed
  • An excellent planner and organiser
  • Able to adapt and work flexibly
