Marketing whizz required for this well established and successful luxury tour operator!

The primary focus of the Marketing Manager is to ensure that all sales and marketing activity undertaken by the company is carried out with the sole aim of increasing direct sales and brand awareness. It is a priority that the current high profile brand is maintained. The ideal candidate will have a clear track record of marketing in the travel industry.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
*Increase Direct sales through effective sales and marketing
*Manage Digital marketing programme
*Achieve agreed annual marketing target by selling in marketing activity to Hotel, Airline and Tourist Board partners.
*Increase profitability through changing the current mix of business
*Increase and improve the brand profile
*Improve the Direct business without denigrating the brand within the trade
*Identifying, implementing and delivering a consumer marketing strategy
*Delivering sustainable and profitable growth through effect marketing to consumers
*Identifying affinity partners to grow long term profitable partnerships
*Co-ordinating direct mail promotions
*Organising client events, including negotiation of sponsorship funding suppliers
*Track trends of sales and margins through effective reporting
*Overseeing the PR function for consumer and trade press
*Liaison with Creative Manager on all PPC and e-newsletters campaigns
*Liaison with Creative Manager on all web content
*Point of contact for all advertising activity, enquiries etc
*Point of contact for all promotional activities


KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS REQUIRED
*Experienced direct marketing experience
*Knowledge of the Travel Industry
*Budget management experience
*Excellent supplier relationships
*Microsoft Office - Intermediate
*Able to use own initiative
*Excellent grammar and communication skills
*Management experience from within a Luxury Tour Operator
