Marketing Manager - Hampshire - up to £50k OTE
We are looking for an experienced, competent and dynamic individual to manage the Marketing function and to develop the brands of this Worldwide Tour Operator - one of the UK's fastest-growing specialist travel companies.
You will be responsible for driving leads to a busy sales team and ensuring our brands deliver target revenue and margin growth each year. This will involve managing, co-ordinating and operating activities within the Marketing function to deliver enquiries, leads and ultimately bookings.
You will have at least five years of recent experience running a direct-sell marketing function in the leisure/travel sector and be highly organised and competent in all aspects of the marketing mix - both online and offline (print, brochure production, advertising, direct mail etc). You will be very experienced and confident in digital marketing, with significant experience of SEO and PPC management, website development, social media and e-commerce.
A key part of the role involves developing Joint Venture marketing initiatives and activity with tourist boards, airlines and other partners.
You will be capable of dealing with a high volume of work and managing multiple projects. You will have the capability of working autonomously, controlling and managing a budget as well as initiating and managing projects. You therefore need to very well organised and able to keep calm under pressure. A good sense of humour and flexibility towards change are essential.
Essential skills and experience include: Excellent analytical ability and numeracy, strong IT skills (Excel, databases, analytics...), inspirational and accurate copy-writing, project management training/experience, proven commercial experience and in-depth knowledge of the travel industry (esp. adventure travel). The ideal candidate will have experience and passion for adventure and activity holidays as well a dynamic and positive personality. Marketing qualification (degree or similar) an advantage.
