Media Team Manager 

Join a friendly and dynamic team as the Media Team Manager for Co-op Travel.

If you are an experienced Travel Sales Manager or Assistant Manager looking for your next challenge then we would love to talk to you!

Our Cooptravel.co.uk sales team are based across a call centre in Walsall, West Midlands and some agents work from home. 

You will be responsible for the day to day support, coaching and motivation of this team to deliver all sales objectives.  If you are energetic, creative, driven and have a proven history in customer service and travel sales yourself as well as coaching and developing skills then this role is a fabulous opportunity for you to progress your career to the next level. 

The role includes some evening and weekend work and although mainly office based is also set up to work from home as necessary.  Salary £24k plus bonus.

The post holder shall:

  • Motivate, lead and coach the team to achieve the key performance indicators for the Media division of Travel’s Direct business.
  • Identify sales trends, campaigns, and opportunities to drive performance.
  • Be commercially aware of the industry and competitors and use this information to maintain a ‘Point of Difference’ with service levels.
  • Ensure that all Media Personal Travel Advisors deliver a high level of customer service in line with the Media Customer Journey.
  • Take relevant action to maintain a high score within the employed CLI report.
  • Conduct monthly 121’s with each employed colleague reviewing their individual performance and identifying coaching opportunities to develop each agent whilst setting agreed targets.
  • Conduct formal business reviews quarterly basis with the self-employed agents identifying any support required for the agent to achieve their personal goals.
  • Address any underperformance through informal and formal processes if necessary.
  • Deliver targets through positive and consistent communication whilst introducing sales initiatives to encourage and motivate the team to achieve results.
  • Provide coach and support to the team and ensure that there is a Personal Development Plan in place for each sales advisor.
  • Build a high level of engagement with the team through effective communication, initiatives, and feedback.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of all Travel Systems and ensure that his/her Media Personal Travel Agents follow Policy & Procedure to get the best use of the technology provided.
  • Complete the rota for both the call centre and employed home based Personal Travel Advisors four weeks in advance taking account of call forecasts, seasonal trends, and marketing activity.
  • Ensure that the Media Personal Travel Advisors are aware of the Society’s Steering Wheel and its measures along with the DOES Values and that each individual understands their contribution to the business.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and enthusiasm at all times.
  • Encourage constructive feedback from the team to assist the Digital & Marketing team with advertising opportunities.
  • To be accountable for all recruitment across the Media Team to ensure we have the right resource to meet demand.
