Key Responsibilities

  • To provide excellent customer service, making each guest feel special and to maximize revenue in assigned conference and banqueting areas
  • To work closely with the Conference and Banqueting Operations Team Leader to achieve success indicators and perform effectively in areas of responsibility
  • To have knowledge of IT applications: Micros Food and beverage product, Word applications
  • Good command of the English language
  • Confident ability to communicate and establish rapport with guests
  • Sales skills
  • Participates in the day-to-day running of all operational aspects of the C and B department
  • To serve C and B customers in a way that makes them feel special
  • To maintain and display in-depth Food and Beverage knowledge consistently, in order to WOW the guest and promote sales
  • To perform other duties as required in the Service Excellence Team
  • Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the company experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of, genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations
  • Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest service
  • Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest problems
  • Provides Yes I Can genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis
  • Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction
  • Participates in the day-to-day running of all operational aspects of the C and B department
  • Implements the set-up of rooms and other public areas in accordance with Radisson Blu Edwardians C and B standards and ensures that all C and B rooms are maintained to Show-round Standard at all times
  • Assumes responsibility for the set up and service of tea/coffee, breakfast, lunch and dinner for C and B
  • Assumes responsibility for basic bar set up and service
  • Operates cloak-room service as required
  • Refreshes conference rooms
  • Prepares mise-en-place
  • Adheres to billing procedures and invoices extra charges incurred during meetings
  • Attends daily pre-shift meetings to discuss event detail, special requests and product development
  • Assists in monthly inventories
  • Assists in cleaning all storage areas, still rooms and bars on a regular basis
  • Adherers and maintains appropriate account and cash bar procedures as per standards
  • Serves C and B customers in a way that makes them feel special
  • Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork to provide excellent guest service
  • Assumes responsibility to gather information about each guest in order to update client database and uses details to ensure a truly personal service
  • Seeks to increase potential revenue by providing outstanding service and direct contact with clients, and up-selling food and beverage and other hotel services
  • Maintains and displays Food and Beverage knowledge as appropriate, in order to WOW the guest and promote sales
  • Assumes responsibility to keep up-to-date with food and beverage products, and to find out about daily menus
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the current food menu
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the beverage list
  • Performs other duties as required in the Service Excellence Team
  • Assists other teams, as required
  • Keeps up to date with health and safety, fire and security regulations, and adheres to emergency procedures
  • To maintain the security of meeting rooms
  • Performs other duties required to provide the service brand behavior and genuine hospitality
