MIS Analyst - Business Travel Sector, London, Up to £38k.
Our client is a leading Business Travel Management Agency that is looking for an MIS analyst to ensure the delivery of Management Information to clients as well as internal reporting. You will be expected to deliver the highest levels of data integrity and consistency in Management Information reporting, along with ensuring data is consolidated from different local systems or global partners. You will work closely with Business Travel partners and Business Managers in a fast paced and exciting environment, as well as with the Implementation Team in ensuring start-up and change requests are managed effectively.

The duties required for the MIS Analyst - Business Travel:

  • Receive report requests, analyze and build reports
  • Analyse clients travel spend data, including flights, hotels, car hire and rail, build reports and present in a readable format
  • Ensure the highest levels of data integrity and consistency
  • Data Consolidation – Deliver strong consolidation of Travel data across reporting platform;
  • Manage 3rd party data interfaces
  • Assist in the development and delivery of enhanced reporting either in-house or through technology partners
  • Developing effective internal MI to support Operations
  • To work within the team to develop MI to support more complex client requests.
  • Change Orientation – Successfully implement new initiatives to raise data standards.
  • Maintain good business relationships with suppliers and potential suppliers
  • Improve Client MI, particularly in the area of fare savings

The Experience & Training required for the MIS Analyst - Business Travel Sector are as follows

  • 2+ years of MIS/Data analysis experience; ability to organise and manage multiple priorities simultaneously; strong analytical skills
  • Experience of working in the Travel sector
  • Excellent advanced Excel skills required (macros, modeling, pivot tables, and lookups) and proficient in MS in general. VBA/SQL is preferred
  • Ability to Design and build reports using SQL
  • Demonstrate ability to identify and implement change, adhere to deadlines, provide value-added analyses
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution oriented approach toward business issues
  • Working knowledge of visual basic macros and ability to perform database queries
  • Experience in SAP Business Objects for Business Intelligence reporting will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of any travel reporting systems useful.
  • Good knowledge of the requirements to consolidate data successfully.
  • Awareness of the role of mid office and back office systems.
  • GDS knowledge with Travelport, Sabre and Amadeus beneficial.
