We are seeking experienced and dynamic German Speaking Group Reservations Agent to join this leading tour operator. This exciting groups travel role entails a wide range of tasks in which no day will be the same:

  • Delivering a high level of service to the group’s sales team, confirming ad hoc/tailor made group bookings.
  • Research and contacting hotels by phone, email or fax, checking availability, rates and conditions to make reservations.
  • Process bookings and inputting details/rates
  • Negotiate rates and conditions such as cancellation and payment policies
  • Provide suitable alternatives as and when required
  • Prioritise hotels with partner agreement and group allocation, and dealing with amendments
  • Occasionally expected to negotiate overbooking situations, compensations and cancellation charges (depend on circumstances)

Essential requirements:
• Experience within Hotel Group/FIT/Operations/Groups/Reservations within the travel/hospitality/leisure/hotel industry or equivalent is essential
• Fluency in English and German is essential - writing and speaking
• Superb interpersonal and communication skills coupled with professional telephone manner
• Professional and efficient telephone manner
• Ability to Multitask
• Preferred negotiation, customer service and problem solving abilities
• Positive attitude towards change and great adaptability
