Job Title: Night Porter
Responsible to: Management on duty
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
To ensure that you arrive on duty at the correct time and that your personal appearance is well groomed.
To provide an overnight service for guests staying at the hotel and a vigilant watch for the outbreak of fire and care
for the safety of guests, their belongings and company property.
To ensure an efficient and courteous impression is projected to all guests and a neat and tidy appearance is
maintained at all times.
To be fully conversant with the facilities offered within the hotel and with any promotions, special offers etc which
may be of particular interest to the guests.
To communicate guests comments or requests to other relevant departments and to a member of management.
Responsible for the service of food (snacks) and beverages to guests through from 11.00pm - 7.30am.
To ensure all conference rooms are set up at all times.
To carry out all duties listed on Night Porters Report Sheet.
To be responsible at all times for your actions.
To be flexible in assisting around different areas of the hotel in response to business and customer needs.
To attend training sessions when required and to operate in line with the training or information received.
To attend briefing sessions and hotel/departmental meetings when required.
To achieve action points arising out of job chats.
To demonstrate a pride in your workplace and a high level of commitment.
To comply with statutory and legal requirements for first aid, fire, health & safety, food hygiene and licensing.
To work shifts as detailed in agreement with management.
To undertake any other duties as and when required by management.
