Our client, an established Travel Management Company require an Out of Hours Business Travel Consultant experienced with Sabre GDS to join their team.

The responsibilities of the Business Travel Consultant – Out of Hours are:

  • Use a GDS to make reservations including flights, car hire, hotel and Rail
  • Good understanding of Business Travel Processes
  • Able to issue tickets and perform re-calculations and re-issues
  • Experience of creating MPD and EMD
  • Liaise and Set up bill payments to hotels, order currency and arrange car payment vouchers.
  • Understand and adhere to numerous Client profiles / policies
  • Assisting customers in a professional, polite and upbeat manner

The skills required for the Business Travel Consultant – Out of Hours are as follows:

  • Excellent knowledge of GDS (Ideally Sabre and/or Amadeus)
  • Previous Business Travel experience
  • Solid travel product knowledge
  • Able to adapt quickly to a new environment
  • Strong destination and geographical knowledge
  • Strong Customer Service skills with empathy
  • Excellent Communication skills


This role is out of hours and will require regular weekend and evening work. There will also be a requirement to work Bank Holidays as standard.
