My client, a leading global Travel Management company based in the City are seeking an Operations Director to join their highly successful organisation, due to the growth of the business. As an Operations Director you will be fully responsible for managing the day to day running of the VIP team which consists of 10 consultants and implementing strategies and initiatives to generate new business opportunities. JOB DESCRIPTION:

*To drive income at point of sale and to identify income opportunities/missed opportunities.
*To work alongside the Commercial team to ensure year on year productivity and efficiency gains across the VIP team.
*Develop and maintain industry leading relationships with key preferred suppliers
*Overall responsibility for the smooth implementation of new client business, ensuring adequate resource has been allocated referencing productivity reports and client management information.
*To be available to meet with key clients when required
*Overall responsibility of client retention KPI's throughout the lifetime of the contract.
*Work alongside marketing team to review brand and marketing collateral and opportunities
*Implement strategies and initiatives as required to generate new business opportunities
*Arrange and attend regular client reviews and 1-2-1 meetings with travellers
*Empowered to make decisions that foster the wellbeing of the account both within the client organisation and to maintain and retain the business on the event of a re-bid
*Regularly monitor client trading and contribution
*To directly oversee the VIP team
*To budget (and reforecast) for UK Operational staffing resource for the coming Financial year based on the Sales Pipeline, up and coming client RFPs, expediential growth of existing clients and varying staff movements.
*Have an approachable and fair manner when dealing with sensitive employee matters.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

*Previous TMC Operations & Account Management experience is preferable or at least Account management experience within the Travel Industry
*Able to deal with different levels of client contacts e.g. PAs, travellers, and budget holders all at C-Suite level
*Good communication and interpersonal skills.
*Prior experience at account manager level.
*Negotiation skills.
*Innovative / Proactive.
*Customer focused.
*Good analytical skills and presentation skills
*Evidenced track record of ability to gain specific results through people
*Ability to analyse and communicate information relating to consultant productivity and specific client trading activity.
*A proven track record of high service delivery and client retention skills - nurtured through both personal involvement and directing teams in the right way to develop strong client loyalty.
*Strong product and supplier knowledge with a clear understanding of how to deliver tailor made solutions using the right suppliers to underpin both value and service for our clients.
*Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines in a pressurised environment without compromising the service to our clients or staff.
*Will be adept in escalating information to Senior personnel within the business, in a timely and concise manner.
