Operations Manager (Adventure Travel) – Up to £27k – South West London

 

 

Operations Manager is required by a marketing leading responsible adventure tour operator renowned for their ethical approach and market leading group tours.  As Operations Manager you will be playing a key role in the delivery of group journey and tours to some of the world’s most exotic locations.

 

As Operations Manager you will be:

 

  • Responsible for the overall operations of escorted group tours
  • Negotiating with ground handlers to contract services at competitive prices
  • Liaising with ground handlers with regards to operations, product, allocations, rooming requirements and additional services
  • Ensuring standards of safety and quality of all operations are adhered to
  • Creating client literature and maintaining the accuracy and effectiveness of all such documentation including tour dossiers, pre-departure information docs as well as product web copy.
  • Quoting, holding and booking flights for clients via airlines or flight consolidators
  • Preparation of pre-tour paperwork for tour leaders including accounts 
  • Briefing & Debriefing tour-leaders to ensure that tours are maintained and tweaked to ensure high standards of customer satisfaction are adhered to
  • Keeping Sales and clients informed with regards to any tour product changes
  • Managing any operatios & crisis issues whilst group tours are on the road.

 

The successful Operations Manager will have experience of working in an operations or support role for a travel company and be passionate about people, places and cultural.  As Operations Manager you will have excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work to deadlines, coupled with strong people skills, be an excellent communicator and have a good sense of humor.  This role is an excellent opportunity for an Operations Executive to take on more responsibility, including some product development, and further their career with a market leading groups travel tour operator.
