Operations Manager - £28k - Hampshire

 

A leading adventure travel company who specialise in some of the world’s most exciting and exotic destinations are looking for an Operations Manager to join a vibrant and dynamic team.  The Operations Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day travel operations and product delivery.  As Operations Executive you will be playing a key role maintain the high standards in service delivery essential to a client’s holiday.

 

As Operations Manager you will:

 

  • Maintaining accuracy of existing parts of the travel information (trip notes, planning sheets, etc).
  • Ensuring quality and safety on all travel services
  • Investigate any quality issues, provide detailed information to enable a efficient reply to customer letters and ensure pro-active steps are taken to avoid future complaints.
  • Work closely with Product Managers to ensure trips operate smoothly and meet the expectations of customers
  • Participate in selection days and training of travel Leaders (in house and overseas), including attending first aid courses.
  • Deal efficiently with day-to-day operational problems, one-off incidents and crisis situations. 
  • Responsible for travel budgets
  • On-going training of Sales Team and assist with queries from customers to aid in the sale of tours.
  • Attend and participate in World Travel Market, Adventure Travel presentations and other Trade Fairs as requested.
  • Meet with new and existing ground agents to ensure quality and safety on all travel.
  • Travel overseas to include Leader training, dealing with incidents, recces, quality control and industry familiarisation trips / product knowledge (possibly at short notice).

 

 

The successful Operations Executive will have a passion for travel with excellent attention to detail, and the ability to be able to multi-task and work to deadlines.  As Operations Executive, you will have some experience in the travel industry and be looking to work for a company that consistently achieves results.
