Operations Manager (Adventure Travel) – Up to £30k plus bonus – Central London

 

Operations Manager for a leading Adventure Travel Tour Operator is required to help facilitate this dynamic company’s product growth to the next level.  As Operations Manager you will be playing a key role in the establishment of the London office, the development of the company’s adventure products and the successful operation of adventure tours.

 

The successful Operations Manager will:

  • Create new product direction and design, sourcing appropriate suppliers to ensure new products meet company feasibility and safety standards
  • Conducting desk-based risk assessments for new products to ensure they

can meet acceptable standard and where appropriate, field based risk

assessments

  • Accurately costing events and negotiating best value terms and conditions

with suppliers

  • Designing comprehensive supplier contractual frameworks incorporating both

commercial and risk factors to ensure suppliers are both briefed and

contracted to deliver products to the correct specification whilst pro-actively maintaining key supplier relationships

  • Ensuring supplier contracts represent excellent value for money to the

Company

  • Ensuring the Company remains BS8848 compliant
  • Ensuring the Company’s maintains a fit for purpose safety policy, incident response procedure and has appropriate public liability insurance whilst coordinating the company’s incident management and crisis response plans if necessary.

 

The successful Operations Manager will have a strong background in group adventure travel, who is able to take responsibility for the organisation, safety and product of creating and developing successful group adventure treks.  As Operations Manager you will be a dynamic and creative individual with excellent interpersonal skills and a keen eye for details, with strong commercial acumen. This Operations Manager position is an excellent opportunity to take on responsibility in an exciting period of growth helping to develop new and existing products and run successful operations.
