Our client is a dynamic, leading and global tour operator and due to success and expansion now seeking a German, Mandarin, Spanish or French speaking Hotel Operation Consultant to join our clients busy groups operation team.

This exciting role entails a wide range of tasks in which no day will be the same, this includes:

  • Liaise with our clients global offices and analyse each request received, prioritizing the workload according to deadlines, arrival dates, etc.
  • Liaising (on the phone and by email / fax) with hotels across Europe by sending urgent rooming list, and amendments including dinner, banquet/conference room arrangements.
  • Negotiating cancellation charges with hotels when rooms are decreased after the agreed deadlines.
  • Dealing with clients and hotels complaints, investigating incidents such as miss arrangements, damages, and thefts in a professional and thorough manner
  • Occasionally negotiating possible compensation when hotels do not provide the standard of service required.
  • Visa letter handling, inputting of rates and deposit payments to the hotel.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Experience within the travel industry or equivalent, preferably within Hotel Group Reservations and/or operation
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential
  • Fluency in Mandarin, German, French or Spanish
  • Superb interpersonal and communication skills coupled with professional telephone manner
  • Good sound knowledge of the MS Office Applications
  • Ability to work on their own or as part of a team
