An independent travel agency with a turnover in excess of £2M. Their clients are mainly local and we sell mainly upmarket independent operators.
Your duties will consist mainly of handling enquiries from the public relating to all aspects of travel. Additionally, you will be required to see the booking through from initiation to handing over final travel details and tickets and any subsequent after sales service that might be relevant. General office duties will also be required including use of a computer to generate correspondence relating to travel bookings.
You will have worked in travel, probably for a travel agency, and will have a good working knowledge of matters relating. Experience of a GDS (Galileo or similar) would be useful but full training can be given.
You will be required to work Monday, Thursday, Friday 09.00 - 17.30 and every other Saturday from 09.00 - 13.30. Your working hours may vary due to heavy trading conditions or to cover staff leave/illness and other market factors.
