A family-owned Tour Operator and highly respected Travel Company require a Purchase Ledger assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. You will be working in a friendly and close-knit team, where personal progression and professional development is encouraged. Prior experience in a similar role is essential, whilst experience working for a Travel Company is desirable.
You will be joining a small team who provide the Accounting function for the company, covering THREE distinctive travel products and brands.
Processing supplier payments
-Reviewing invoicing and checking back to expectations on system
-Resolving differences and disputes with operational team and overseas suppliers
-Maintaining accurate financial records on our Travel Reservation System and Accounting system
-Monitoring Accounts inbox and responding to queries accordingly
-Forming working relationships with key suppliers
-Cash flow planning support
* Strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
* A strong team player
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Superb attention to detail and be accurate
* High level of Microsoft Excel skill
* Ability to answer queries from suppliers and customers
* Excellent telephone manner
This excellent position offers a competitive basic salary of £17,000 - £18,000, with generous company benefits. Hours of work are Monday to Friday between 9.00 am and 5.30pm, as part of a 37.5 hour week.
