Our client, an organisation that provides 4* student accommodation to international students, is currently recruiting for a Reception Supervisor to join their busy, friendly team. This is a full time role and the successful candidate would be required to work 12 hour shifts, 4 days on and 4 days off. This will be on a rota basis to include weekends and bank holidays and the shifts start at 08:00am and finish at 8:00pm.The main responsibilities of the role include: *Daily supervision of the Reception team to ensure that they are motivated and meet the daily objectives and required standards.*Training and development of the reception team*Undertake administration duties for Reception and College Reception Manager including preparation of the shift roster and submission of all shift swaps, sickness forms, leave forms etc.*Deal with all service issues such as resetting voicemails, ordering keys to be cut etc.*Have operational knowledge of all front of house services and be aware how to access these services to meet the members requirements.*To cover reception duties in both houses for lunch and where necessary for sickness and holidays.*Liaise with suppliers and contractors to ensure that all Reception facilities are maintained and in working order.*Be able to act in accordance with the Front of House procedures. Be able to explain and reinforce all procedures including the Health & Safety procedures to all staff.*Ensure that reception is kept immaculate at all times*Find cover when staff call in sick or when necessary.*Able to provide in depth information on the local area, directions, traffic & travel updates, timetables etc.*Maintain personal awareness of all site procedures relevant to reception, ensuring that any required changes to procedures are brought to the attention of everyone involved.*Completion of the daily checklists and area audits.*Complete an end of Shift Report and action any outstanding issues arising.*Become a First Aider & Fire Marshall (training will be given)The ideal candidate will have: Previous reception managerial experience, ideally in a hotel or hospitality background. Excellent people management skillsResponsibility for setting tone of organisation and leading teams Excellent team builder and motivatorStrong written and verbal communication skills and be IT literate on all MS office packages. A real passion for providing excellent customer services is a must! A great telephone manner Knowledge of a guest booking system is a benefit!
