We have a fantatsic opportuinity for a Regional Logistics Manager to ensure the Central UK Region has the optimum fleet levels in order to meet the demands of our customers, effectively managing the Region's fleet in order to maximise efficiencies within targets / budgets and work closely with the Regional Management team to ensure fleet related targets are achieved.

MAIN AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Work with Fleet Distribution to ensure station fleet meets the demands of our customers.
  • Pro-actively plan fleet levels to effectively handle day to day business as well as peak requirements, such as Christmas, Easter and Public holidays.
  • Plan fleet in terms of availability and type to effectively deliver the requirements of both our corporate and consumer customers.
  • Ensure fleet availability for consumer business to allow sales and upgrades to take place.
  • Monitor fleet control to ensure delivery and collection lag times are managed to targeted levels and ensure collections are completed within SLA.
  • With the Station Managers and Fleet Controllers review the local fleet distribution activity to ensure this is operated efficiently.
  • With Regional Management team review station clusters to ensure optimum fleet control and efficiency.
  • Regional escalation point for any fleet matters, issues and non-availability for reservations.
  • Overall responsibility for ensuring there is a 7 day fleet support structure within the Region.
  • Ensure reporting is available to effectively manage the regional fleet.
  • Overall responsibility to ensure the overdue vehicles are actioned in line with procedures and responsible for agreeing the unmarking of any sale cars.
  • Monitor workshop vehicles to ensure the quick turnaround of fleet repairs.
  • Monitor slow and non-moving vehicles.
  • Support the Regional Director with any reasonable request to ensure effective performance of a Station or the Region and deputise for the Regional Director when requested.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Proven knowledge and experience in managing a large location or the fleet requirements of more than one location at the same time.
  • Demonstrated people management and leadership.
  • Experience in distance management and delivering results through the team.
  • A positive management style with the ability to speak and act confidently.
  • Able to work under pressure and make decisions to support and deliver the Regional goals and objectives.
  • Ability to work from Watford Head Office at least three days a week
