UBM is looking for a talented individual to join theteam as the Research Analyst working on the ASM portfolio in Manchester.



Please note this is a 9 month FTC.

Job Summary:



ASM is seeking to recruit a Research Analyst with at least 2 years experience in an Airline network planning/commercial role. The successful applicant will be expected to play a key part in the delivery of ASM's key service to its clients, that of new 'route delivery', and in turn maintaining and developing positive and progressive relationships with ASM regular airport clients.

The Research Analyst will help to ensure that ASM's record of success in securing new air services for airports is second to none and that the frequency and diversity of results achieved grows significantly, whilst also ensuring that an effective 'route delivery' operation is built on a global scale in line with the expansion plans of ASM and ultimately UBM EMEA.



The roles must help ensure that ASM has positive and productive working relationship with the world's airlines across all sectors.



Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

*To manage existing and new client contracts and projects to ensure effective delivery of 'route delivery' and supporting service, to agreed deadlines, standards and budgets.

*To draw on all the company resources to ensure that ASM's services are provided to the client's satisfaction.

*To develop a transition management process alongside colleagues to enable the seamless progression from standalone project based activity to continuous implementation and route delivery activity. Furthermore seek to develop project content so that actual route delivery becomes a commonplace occurrence within projects, and not solely a post project process.

*To determine and implement client development programmes to increase billing revenues to agreed company targets.

*To participate in the processes and activities involved with route delivery for airports and determined appropriate for the client:

Presentation of market cases and opportunities to airlines

Negotiation with carriers

*To develop ASM's unique 'route delivery' management approaches and ensure their implementation across clients.

*Alongside clients, to manage the process of winning strategically important routes for airports and their regions. To develop the role and status with clients such that ASM is solely entrusted with the 'route delivery' process, and gains delegated authority to act on the airports behalf at all levels.

*To manage time reporting/ systems to ensure that client contracts are operated profitability in line with company performance targets.

*To ensure client contracts are renewed and improved in line with company performance targets. Participate in, and manage the negotiation of contracts directly with the client.

*To implement codes of conduct for our dealings with airlines and airport clients.

*To comply with Company policies and procedures.

*To carry out any reasonable project work/ad hoc task as requested by line management.

*To attend training as required



Position Requirements:


*Track record in the field of route development and marketing of airports.

*Experience of working in network planning, route/network decision making field for an airline would be advantageous and preferred

*Ideally an outward facing individual this person needs to be able to communicate and engage with existing and new customer communities during the product life cycle with discretion and confidence as required.

*Able to sustain performance under pressure

*To attend events as appropriate and undertake meaningful meetings (formal and informal) with new and existing clients.

*Able to stay focused whilst at the same time able to innovate, produce and deliver a high level of service.

*Excellent organisation, planning and reporting skills

*Strong project management skills

*Strong relationship skills, ability to interact across all hierarchy levels of the company and clients.

*Ability to meet deadlines, deliver consistently excellent quality of service.
