Our client a leading contract catering company are currently recruiting for a Contract Retail Manager to join their team.
You will be responsible for managing two units which operate a combination of branded and franchised retail.
Key responsibilities of the role:
*The position is to deliver and develop the retail contract
*Effective management of people, cash, stock, financial systems,
Health and Safety and quality
*To take ownership and act promptly to get things done whilst demonstrating
a commitment to high quality standards
*Comply with brand requirements for other Franchisee agreements
*Develop high standards within all retail units to achieve 95%
customer satisfaction ratings
*Responsible for achieving the retail targets budgeted and to exceed these
targets where possible
*Full responsibility for all cash relating to the contract, cash control
*Deliver contract specification and look for opportunities to exceed
*To identify opportunities for cost savings, value for money and profit
generation and evaluate the implications od actions and ideas
*Develop strategies to increase sales
*Provide direction, guidance and support to all staff under the positions
control to ensure they are able to carry out their role effectively.
*Create, maintain and enhance effective working relationships with all
people related to the Company, this will include staff working within
the control of this position, other staff within the Company, the Client,
and individuals in the external environment.
*Ensure services are delivered in line with the contract requirements. Manage
and evaluate, objectives and targets for the Contract as outlined in the
Units Business Plan.
*Ensure that staff and units fully adhere to Company retail brand, promotions, etc
*Plan and cost menus, ordering and receiving and storage of goods.
*Unit service counters are replenished adequately during service.
*Ensure staffing levels are adequate, appropriate and in line with the
*Maintain stock levels and retail planograms as agreed.
*Ensure a strong management presence during key service times
*Ensure the highest customer service standards are met, and address any
service failures in a timely manner.
*Ensure compliance with all statutory and due diligence requirements
*Ensure all required book work and reporting is completed in a timely manner
*Ensure that cash procedures are adhere to and cash is banked daily
*Ensure compliance with Catering's Operations Manual and Client policies and procedures.
*Financial Administration, daily monitoring of sales, food wastage, food costs, etc
*Maintain control and carry out accounting procedures
*Produce weekly flash report.
*Support budget process.
*Direct all unit activities towards meeting client objectives and customer needs.
*Co-ordinate personnel. Place, appraise and develop employees within a
positive employee relations environment.
*Identify and plan manpower needs of the client. Develop personnel to
meet staffing and succession needs.
*Identify training requirements of staff under their control, and administer
the appropriate level of training required.
*Induct all new employees into the company, taking into account client's
site specific requirements.
* Update training records as soon as any training takes place.
