Retail Travel Sales Consultant - London - competitive basic + excellent commission 

A very exciting opportunity has arisen for an outstanding travel professional who is looking to work for a leading luxury Tour Operator specialising in high end beach holidays to the Caribbean. 

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Handling customer enquiries promptly and effectively in the Travel Store and on the telephone

Provide accurate and the most current information on product, promotions and procedures to customers

Maintain the highest level of customer service levels consistent with the company’s brand and reputation 

Resolve customer service issues, and escalate to the Travel Store Supervisor/Duty Manager as appropriate

Maintain high standards of attendance and punctuality as per company guidelines

Liaising with other Departments to ensure a seamless customer experience 

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

Must have at least three years travel industry experience selling holidays around the world including the Caribbean

Must possess strong skills in both written and oral communications

Experience of working with a GDS as well as a good knowledge of airlines and their networks

Must be able to demonstrate a track record of sustained success in hitting sales targets within an incentive scheme.

Experience of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel is advantageous

The successful candidate must embody a hard work ethic, excellent diplomatic skills, and should be able to take a strategic outlook on every aspect of the job

Must display strong attention to detail and organisational skills
