The assistant waiter/ess is to assist the waiting and Bar staff and to help with the smooth running of service. He/she is also to ensure all areas in the restaurant are kept clean and tidy.
Assistant waiter/ess should adhere to Pizarro Restaurant's operational standards and follow the company's policies that aim to support the day-to-day running of the business.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
To be fully educated on all aspects of food/wine menu and have full knowledge of all products served including daily specials.
Maintaining a high level of personal hygiene and ensure clean uniforms.
Reporting any dangerous, damaged or faulty equipment and any accidents which may occur.
Maintain a safe working environment in compliance with Health and Safety policies (e.i. Risk assessment, Fire safety, manual handling, etc) and statutory Food Hygiene
Working flexibly and undertake any other catering-related duties that may be reasonably required within scope of the role.
Attending training sessions scheduled by company.
Performing any other Adhoc duties as directed by Management.
Washing and polishing glasses
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of bar
Polish bar top
Clean and dry ice wells
Clearing tables and relaying them
Restocking mis en place for restaurant (e.g. bread, olives, etc.)
Assisting waiting staff in taking food and drinks orders to the table
Maintenance and cleaning:
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of the restaurant and toilets at all the times.
Ensuring the correct cleaning is carried out daily and weekly basis.
To help prepare the restaurant and bar area for service.
To ensure the correct equipment is in place for the shift. Empty bins
Control, count, organise and fold linen (napkins)
Clean down pass area
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout bar and restaurant (i.e. polish bar top, clean and dry ice machine and fridges, descale Coffee Machine, empty rubbish bins, swept and mop floor).
Must have restaurant experience minimum 1 year
