1 x 37.5 hours per week (shifts are over 7 days including 12/12.5 hour days and some night shifts)
Bevin Court is a busy hostel for 66 homeless men aged 18 years and over. We aim to support people who have become homeless into gaining the skills needed to re-establish themselves in the community.
We are currently recruiting for committed and motivated individuals who are willing to go that extra mile to help clients at our hostel get the most out of life. Duties will include helping to undertake assessments for admission, key working a small number of clients, participating in the move on process and helping in the day to day running of the hostel.
Some experience of working within a care environment, ideally with the homeless, and an understanding of the needs of people with complex support issues would be desirable but is not essential. More important is a respectful attitude and the ability to relate to others in a non-judgemental way.
At St. Anne's, we want to reward our employees for the hard work they do so we have a great benefits package including:
Minimum of 20 days annual leave rising annually to a maximum of 25 days plus 8 notified statutory holidays Benefits scheme - Hundreds of discounts at major retailers like Sainsbury's and Boots Employee Assistance Programme - including free counselling sessions & support Group Personal Pension Scheme
